Hey it one more term and we are all going off to intermediate school! Here’s what we are doing in term 4.

Our main theme here in room12 is ‘CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMMUNITY

We are trying to do good deeds that could help our community. Yesterday we defined community. We found that community isn’t just your suburb. It can be your class, your family, your country or the whole wide world!

ELECTION ’08

We will be doing some work on the election here in New Zealand. Homework is already on the election with our spelling words and our main task focused around the election. Later on we will have our own election in the class, forming parties, to see who is the best to run the school. Ben and I have already joined up to make the ‘I-Party’.

We are also going to do a ’25 days to make a difference’ project. We got inspired by this 8 year old American girl. her blog site is: http://twentyfivedays.wordpress.com/

I’m looking forward to the graduation because it’s all holidays after that!

This is what it did for my homework this week:

My Task:

Homework Week 10

1.Read every night for at least 20 minutes

2.Brush up on all of your times tables for a mega test on Friday.

3.Write a short newspaper article on a topic of your choice. Set out your article just like you would expect to find it in a newspaper. Find or draw a picture/photo and add a caption. We will share your articles on Friday morning.

4.Find four new and interesting words to share with the class. Make sure you can spell the words correctly and that you know how to use them in a sentence.
